Durban Poison is a pure sativa landrace from the South African port city of Durban. It was brought to the United States by cannabis activist Ed Rosenthal in the 1970s and selectively bred for shorter flowering times to suit Western growing conditions. It became famous as a parent of Girl Scout Cookies.
