OG Kush's exact lineage remains one of cannabis culture's greatest mysteries. The strain appeared in Florida in the early 1990s when Matt Berger crossed a mystery strain (believed to be Chemdawg) with Hindu Kush genetics. It was then brought to California where Josh D refined and distributed it, transforming it into the West Coast staple it is today. The 'OG' in the name is debated — most believe it stands for 'Original Gangster,' referring to its original, authentic status on the California cannabis scene. OG Kush became the foundation for dozens of legendary West Coast hybrids including Skywalker OG, Fire OG, and Tahoe OG.
Aroma: Pungent fuel-like musk with citrus and pine overtones, earthy spice, and a distinct skunky diesel backbone
