History

Sensi Seeds was founded in 1985 by Ben Dronkers, who had spent years collecting cannabis genetics from around the world — particularly from Afghanistan, Nepal, India, and Southeast Asia — before the globalization of cannabis culture made such landrace preservation nearly impossible. The company built one of the world's most significant cannabis gene banks, preserving genetics that would otherwise have been lost. Sensi Seeds collaborated with legendary breeders including Sam Skunkman and Neville Schoenmakers, helping codify modern cannabis breeding practices. The company also founded the Hash Marihuana & Hemp Museum in Amsterdam — one of the most-visited museums in the Netherlands.
